Despite the defeat, this was a performance full of quality, heart, and desire which deserved so much more!
Attackers took the lead on 16 minutes when Kendel Alexander fired home from close range. However, we were only behind for six minutes with Leon Whyle levelling matters with a superbly taken free kick from 20 yards which left the keeper completely stranded!
The game remained at 1-1 as the teams went into the half time break, but shortly after the restart we took the lead courtesy of a goal from Kashawn Senior who produced a great piece of skill to beat his man before slotting the ball past the keeper and into the net.
In a fantastic half of football, Attackers got back on level terms with just over ten minutes to go through Sean Isaacs. A goal which has to be said came slightly against the run of play.
As the game moved towards the final whistle, both teams had good chances to win it before the former Uprising man Tajay Johnson found the winner for our opponents deep into injury time by lobbing our stand in custodian Tre Gumbs.
A cruel way to lose but we now must dust ourselves off and look ahead to our midweek fixture against Diamond FC.
