Uprising FC Strengthens Creative Team with Dan Walkley Appointment

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Dan Walkley who joins the Uprising Family to assist in our Graphics Department.

Dan resides in Tadley, a town in the county of Hampshire in southeast England. A Chelsea FC supporter, although he has now hung up his boots, Dan played football from the age of 7 to 29 for Tadley-Calleva Football Club, working his way up to playing for the club’s reserve XI. Talking of Tadley-Calleva, Dan has been working for the club within football operations as well as being the sole media person for them. We asked Dan if he could provide us with some information on the club which as you will read makes for very interesting reading.

“Tadley-Calleva play at Step 5 of the Non-League Pyramid in England playing our home games at Barlows Park which is situated on the Berkshire/Hampshire border. The name Calleva comes from the local Roman settlement that was a prominent town during those times.”

As well as carrying out his roles at Tadley-Calleva, Dan is also involved in two other projects which are running a Podcast called Non-League Heroes and writing for a website called Football in Berkshire which is also focused on the non-league game in England.

To finish our chat with Dan, we asked him if he could tell us how it feels to join our club.

“I first took notice of the Anguilla national team due to the vast amount of non-league players from Berkshire representing the nation such as Kian Duncan, Luke Paris, and Calvin Morgan. I then, naturally took an interest in the Anguilla Football League and realised that Uprising FC have a strong connection with the UK, and the project really attracted me. With the club just being ten years old this year, I am excited to support Uprising in their quest to win their first league championship!”

We are excited to have Dan at our club and look forward to seeing what the future holds!
