VIEW FROM THE DUGOUT

Following our game against West End Predators earlier on this week, we took the opportunity to speak to Head Coach, Chavoi Gumbs for his thoughts on that game and his views ahead of this weekend's important clash with Diamond FC.

“Firstly, the game against WEP turned out to be a record win for us, I am very proud of the team for securing this historic result. We played well together as a group and we had contributions from every single player; whether that was a chance created, attempted, or scored! My focus during the game was our discipline and shape. We kept our shape very well and we were able to execute the game plan.”

Chavoi on went to provide his opinion on the forthcoming game against Diamond FC.

“We know that the next game is a must win for us! It will be a tough encounter as we know that Diamond FC are a resilient team. Because of this, we know that we need to work hard from the first whistle to the last to achieve our objective. We must utilise our set pieces and capitalise on the chances that I know we will create with the talented players we have in our squad.”

Finally, we asked Chavoi if there was any news he could provide on the injury front.

“Marvin Erskine is expected to be back for the next game after suffering an injury in the game last week against Docs. Nathaniel Gumbs was substituted early in the game against WEP due to concerns with his hamstring, this was just a precaution, and we hope he will be fit for the weekend. Also, in the WEP game, Defari Francis received a knock on his ankle as a result of a bad tackle, but the good news is that he is recovering well.”

We thank Chavoi for taking the time to provide us with his views and wish him and the boys the best of luck for the forthcoming game against Diamond FC.
